Back to reality of the sin sick world in which we live. This week 2 children were killed in their home within 1 mile of the Church we serve in Salinas, Ecuador. The people live in fear just like the people from "Ee-tao" the movie. This is the reality of a life w/o Jesus Christ. Just 1 hour north 2 Argentine girls were murdered in Montanita. Pray with us for the salvation of souls. (Luto=mourning). Santa Elena is the province. PS: look around you. Today there are people suffering without hope! You have been called to bring them the hope! Get to it!
Ephesians 2:10-18 "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise,
having no hope, and without God in the world: (let that eat at you a bit).
But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father." (Hallelujah!)

Vacation Bible School in Salinas, Ecuador
VBS in February? Christian Bible Church of Mohawk, NY, sent 13 to us to serve in Salinas, Ecuador, with Pastor Mario Sanga and the Iglesia Baptista Adelphos. We conducted a Vacation Bible School. We went into the community handing out flyers. We shared testimonies. We had a painting outreach and work day projects on the church property. It was a week of God’s blessing.
This was the first VBS for this new church plant and we were privileged to be a part of it. We praise the Lord that His Word is changing lives. We saw children learn the Word of God during the week, and many with their parents attended every day and made a positive response to the Gospel. Praise the Lord!!! He is at work. Two of the missions team members gave their hearts to Christ in Salinas. They have returned home with New Life in Christ. We praise the Lord for His abundance of blessings. We saw more than 127 different children during week and the last day we had 110 in attendance. As you can see from the photo, it was packed!
Please pray for Pastor Mario and the church as we help teach the church to do follow- up discipleship. The goal is to get into the homes of each child and present them with a Bible.
Thank you for standing with us on bended knee!

Our "Paddington" is off to Lima, Peru.
In January, our daughter Bethany moved to Lima, Peru, to serve in La Molina Christian School. She is teaching K-4. Her primary responsibility is language development. If you watched "Paddington Bear" in the last few years you know Paddington set off for Peru. Thus the connection. We are thrilled to see God work in her life. We were with her briefly as we were scheduled to attend two conferences in Peru late January through the first week of February. It was a blessing to share in her world for a few days!
